Improve the performance of the user interface
When I access the user interface (hosted on IIS) it is quite slow to use.
It frequently takes several seconds between clicking on something and things happening.
It does not appear to be a resource problem, as both the IIS/Monitor server and the database server has plenty of resources to spare.
I’m marking this as “closed” seeing as performance improvements will be indefinitely be delivered, so it would never make sense to consider this work “done”.

Fast forward to 2015 and this is still an issue. For us, using version 5.0.1.1302, the SQL Monitor interface is now brutally slow. We have been working with Support but to no avail. We are only monitoring 18 servers.
It's now to the point where we are actively looking at other products.

Thank you.
I predominately use firefox, with chrome as a fallback. One of the most bothersome delays to me today is the delay from I click "Cleared" while viewing an alert until the "Alert cleared" confirmation box appears.

I only use Chrome (out of preference) and have no speed complaints at all. Alerts page loads in 3-4 seconds and an individual alert in 1-2 seconds. Performance data then takes another 1-2 seconds after that. Yes it could be faster but it's quite usable.

I find that pages usually render faster in Chrome is generally than with IE.

Hi Brendo,
Thanks for reporting this issue. We will definitely try to improve this. In the meanwhile, you can try using Chrome or Firefox. They are generally faster than IE.
Thanks,

UI analysis hangs/slow(10 seconds) when metricselection is made. Version 3.2, 3.3, browser IE 8, builtin webbrowser.
The slow responsetime makes the use of this interface less attractive.
