Use (Group) Managed Service Account Credentials for Server Monitoring
Allow the use of managed service accounts (MSA and gMSA) as credentials when monitoring servers.
Given the high-level permissions required to fully monitor servers, this would provide a higher level of security to match.

Erwin is correct. A password is still required when adding a new SQL Server, which is not available to the user when using a managed service account (MSA/gMSA).

Also doesn't work for querying Active Directory when using domain authentication (see https://sqlmonitor.uservoice.com/forums/91743-suggestions?query=upgrade%20without%20reentering%20credentials)

Managed service accounts already work, for running the service and connecting to SQL (using Base Monitoring Account). It doesn't work for the install and it doesn't work for sending alerts.
