Show deadlock alerts using the deadlock graph
Display deadlocks alerts in a more graphical and easier to understand way.
Thanks for this suggestion. Version 8.0.2 uses extended events to display graphs for the deadlocks.
We will close this suggestion, but please do add another suggestion if there are further improvements you would like to see.
Kind regards,

Would be nice if when you show completed you also include a link to instructions in how to accomplish the task.

As emailed: Please, tell us the TYPE in the Alert Label. May I suggest using the SSMS “XE” moniker to shorten the “(extended event)” legend to “(XE: Exchange)” or “(XE: Page Lock)”, or something meaningful. And if you would enable “Silence, you Exchange Events”, my SQM Alerts page will thank you… I will see the wood for the trees, which I cannot now, and, as a result, have DISABLED the XE collection, and re-enabled the old style Alert collector.
Perhaps splitting the collector into 2 types of Deadlock (XE) alerts would be better, in order to keep with the current configuration paradigm.

I would love to see a graph trend out deadlocks long term that way I can see my progress

Or, provide the deadlock information in the xml format that will then allow user to save as a xdl file and open in SSMS.
Not saying change the way it is shown in SQL Monitor, but have the xml version "available"

Hi there,
Was thinking it could be displayed in a similar manner to the deadlock graph. It would be helpful if it was possible to see in which order the transactions executed.
I think the Idera tool has something like that which I liked thee look of.

Hi, we'd like to understand a bit more about what you would like to see visualised and how this would help. (Drop me a line at sqlmonitorfeedback@red-gate.com if you prefer)
