This is quite important for us as it weakens our security posture by forcing us to open up SQL Authentication on our Azure servers.
In answer to @Neil Turner's question, for us Azure Service Principal authentication would be ideal so we can follow best practice and rotate access keys for SQL Monitor. Ideally the latter should be available programatically.
