Provide AAD authentication mode to connect to Azure SQL server apart from username and password authentication.
Because if Azure SQL is set to AAD authentication only for security reasons in any organization, username and password to add new Azure SQL server/DB under SQL Monitoring doesn't help.

Hi, I'm Raees, one of the software engineers on the SQL Monitor Dev Team. We've recently added support for Microsoft Entra Managed Identity authentication (from v13.0.54)

SQL Monitor now supports Azure AD Password Authentication (from v13.0.13) and Azure AD Integrated Authentication (from v13.0.15)

This is quite important for us as it weakens our security posture by forcing us to open up SQL Authentication on our Azure servers.
In answer to @Neil Turner's question, for us Azure Service Principal authentication would be ideal so we can follow best practice and rotate access keys for SQL Monitor. Ideally the latter should be available programatically.

Active Directory Password authentication would be the most useful in our organization.

We're looking at looking at supporting Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) this year. Microsoft provides a few different modes of authentication (see link provided), which ones are most relevant for you?

We need this too, we're moving everything (and everyone) away from SQL authentication (as per lots of security recommendations.)
