Re-fire alert notification if alert stays active
My initial problem was that an alert that was still active was marked as cleared, but I wanted the alert to 're-appear' as essentially it hadn't been fixed.
This then led me to thinking about any alerts that can move from Active to Ended. It would be useful to configure these is such a way that if they stay Active for a given period, then they re-fire. I understand that is what the multiple thresholds can be used for (especially if the thresholds define time periods) but in this case I may already be at High, there is no further threshold to hit, and I still want to be notified.

Agree regarding a repeating alert. If a server goes down after hours, I'd be ideal to have multiple messages alerting the problem.

Similar to Kevriley we would also like a repeating alert. If a SQL Server is rebooted and the SQLService or the SQLAgent doesnt come back online then it critical to fix asap. We need a reminder email, say, every fifteen minutes. We don't feed into a ticketing system so rely on looking at the dashboard or looking at email. On a weekend we cant see the dashboard unless we log in. If the sql agent stops running overnight on a Friday we need more than one email at 1am to remind us that there is a problem. We get lots of emails and may miss a single email at 1am. There is already a built in maximum number of emails to send each day which is useful as we'll get enough emails to flag the issue but not so many to flood our emails. Thanks in advance.
