Have ability to sort list of databases on SQL Instance overview
It might be helpful to have the ability to sort these by name, esp. when this list happens to be quite long. It seems like under the current design they are sorted by database ID.
I have to scroll past 50+ db's to see the remaining info on the UI - can this be improved? Collapsing the list or adding some filtering, e.g. filter to limit to x# which is then changeable by page index, or filter by other than OK status
This list is sortable as of SQL Monitor 4.0 (it is also truncated by default, making it easier to scroll past it)

I feel as though it would. The overview can be treated more as a dashboard with this feature. For example, being able to sort by status would allow for problematic servers to be at the top. The goal is to have the overview on a large screen for the monitoring team to see the health of the environment. Having 50/100+ servers makes it impossible to have that screen be hands free.
**one note, my servers are listed by IP, not machine name. I see where the alphabetical sorting put the analysis list of servers in sequential order, but it does not appear to be doing that on my overview. version 3.2.0.219**

Thanks Matt.
We have improved this in V 3.2. You would notice that database list is now sorted alphabetically in Overview, Analysis and Alert Settings page.
Do you still feel the need for sorting by all columns?
Thanks,

Sorting by all of the columns on the Overview is ideal.

I agree. We have many databases with similar names, so it would be useful to be able to type the db name in (or a query string) to find the db I want to see.

Thanks Andrew for your feedback. You would be glad to know that we are also thinking on the similar lines. We will post when we have made some progress on this.

Another thought for the overview page would be to sort by number of alerts outstanding or most recent alert. So server with high number of alerts would rise to the top of the screen and be more visible

I agree with this, we have a server naming strategy that means the server names are very similar (medsql01, medsql11) and definitely need to the ability to sort them.

I agree with this as we have two instances with 3000 DBs, (don't ask I didn't architect it). Viewing the UI for these instances is impossible.

Thanks for your feedback. This is definitely an area we could improve and we’ll let you know when we have some designs that address this.
