Alert if any data collection of metrics values stops unexpectedly

For some reason our data collection stops every other week for certain metrics. Restarting the SQLMonitor-service will make the service resume collecting again.
As it is now we have to inspect each metric manually to identify problems.
I would like an alert if any data collection stops unexpectedly.

    Yes, please do let Support know. If you are not getting these alert when you would expect it to then it is most probably a bug. Support can investigate this with you.

    Hi, Great but I have that setting enabled already. I had already contacted support but I will get back to them and specify that this setting is enabled.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your message. We already have alerts to inform user about data collection errors. Could you please verify that you have not disabled 'Monitoring error (SQL Server data collection)' and 'Monitoring error (host machine data collection)' alerts. I am closing this feature request but if you are encountering any issue with these alerts then please email support@red-gate.com.
